During our stay with Nick in Marseille, we took the train to Avignon and spent the day there. Avignon is a walled town - with a famous bridge.

On the bridge
St Benezet Bridge over the Rhone river. Famous for the song "Sur le Pont d'Avignon". The bridge dates from the 12th century. Only part of the bridge remains - it doesn't span the river now.
